Ellen Corenswet is the chair of Covington's Venture Capital and Emerging Companies practice and resides in the New York office. She represents private and public life sciences, technology and other emerging growth companies on structuring issues, equity incentive plans and executive arrangements, and general corporate, securities and commercial matters, venture capital financings, private placements, IPOs and follow-on offerings, PIPE financings, M&A transactions, and strategic alliances. Ms. Corenswet also represents venture capital firms in their portfolio company financings. Ms. Corenswet has experience in a number of industries, including biotechnology, media and new media, medical devices, clean technology, software, communications, and web-based financial services and other Internet services. Ms. Corenswet has practiced law in Northern California, Boston, and New York and brings together a broad perspective and network from these three communities.
