Elizabeth Wall is a lifelong champion of the in-house legal profession; an English Solicitor and Attorney admitted to the California and US Supreme Court Bars, she served as a global General Counsel on both sides of the Atlantic for over 20 years.
Her former employers include McDonnell Douglas Corporation, Cable & Wireless plc and Equant N.V. Recognition for Elizabeth's contribution to the in-house bar from the international legal community was marked by the UK's The Lawyer Magazine's "In-house Company Commercial Lawyer of the Year Award", The American Society of International Law's "Prominent Woman in International Law Award" and "The Excellence in Corporate Practice Award" from the ACC.
She served for 6 years on the ACC Board, as its 2002-03 Global Chair and as President and subsequently a Board member of ACC's European Chapter from 2004 to 2006. Previously, she was elected Chairman of the UK Law Society's Solicitors' Commerce and Industry Group 1996-7.
In 2004, Elizabeth established Elizabeth Wall Partners International LLC (EWPI) an exclusive "boutique" global consultancy and search company in New York providing creative solutions to global blue chip corporations, global law firms and outstanding legal, compliance and risk management professionals:
Elizabeth keeps ahead of the curve with respect to emerging in-house practice and practice management trends by virtue of her close on-going contact with ACC and her prior association with "The European Lawyer" magazine. She served as the magazine's General Counsel from 2002 to 2009 and was a co-editor of its reference work "CSR World", first published in 2002, which features laws relating to and regulation of Corporate Social Responsibility in over 20 countries and the CSR-related activities of leading global corporations. She has been a member of HRH Prince Charles's Business and the Environment Programme since its inception in 1995.
Elizabeth served as a non-executive director with Cable & Wireless Communications plc and with Legal & General Group plc, also as a member of the L & G Audit Committee. She also served on the Board of the UK's premier legal training institution, The College of Law between 1996- 2006, as a member of the Audit Committee and as Chair of the Strategy Committee.
