Edwin Wheeler's practice has encompassed all aspects of intellectual property and antitrust litigation and counseling over three decades. Since February 2011 he has held the position of Vice President, Patent Litigation at Rovi Corporation in Santa Clara, CA. Rovi is a leading supplier worldwide of digital entertainment search and guidance products and technology, and holds an extensive patent portfolio in the field of interactive program guides for television and new media. At Rovi, Edwin is responsible for offensive patent litigation in the U.S., Europe and Asia in support of Rovi's multimillion dollar business licensing its interactive program guide portfolio to consumer electronics manufacturers, cable and satellite television suppliers, and Internet media delivery companies. As of June 2012, Rovi had active patent litigation matters in the United States (various district courts and the ITC), the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy and Spain. Prior to joining Rovi, Edwin was a partner at two major multinational law firms, in Washington DC and Silicon Valley, where he represened such significant clients as Anheuser-Busch, General Electric, Seagate Technology, and the California Department of Health Services in important intellectual property disputes. Edwin is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of Chicago Law School.
