DORI LEWIS is a Senior Supervising Attorney at the Prisoners' Rights Project of the New York City Legal Aid Society. She has been a Legal Aid attorney since 1976 when she began her career with the Criminal Defense Division. Since coming to Prisoners' Rights in 1980, she has handled complex institutional civil rights litigation, mostly federal class actions, concerning conditions of confinement in the New York City jails and State prisons, focusing on issues involving women prisoners and young people.
