Denise Kettelberger concentrates her practice in intellectual property law, with a particular emphasis on biotechnology and life sciences. Her work includes strategic patent portfolio management, infringement avoidance counseling, infringement and validity review and opinions, and IP litigation support.
Denise holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. She's admitted to practice in Minnesota and Texas.
As an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), she currently serves as an AIPLA Fellow, an appointed member of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee, and Chair of the AIPLA Food and Drug Committee. Denise participated in AIPLA's amicus briefing to the Supreme Court on patent-eligible subject matter cases as an author AIPLA's brief in Lab Corp v. Metabolite, and co-author of AIPLA's brief in Nuijten v. Dudas.
She is a frequent speaker on patent law issues, including intellectual property strategies, patent reform, biosimilars, eligible subject matter under section 101, plant and animal biotechnology issues, and practice before the USPTO.
