Debra Morway is an experienced employment attorney with an extensive big firm background. Ms. Morway has represented numerous financial services, energy, technology, transportation, media and retail firms in single and multiple plaintiff cases in state and federal courts as well as in various arbitral forums, including FINRA. 

Ms. Morway has broad experience in all aspects of employment law, with extensive litigation experience and expertise in the following areas: employment discrimination law (including Title VII, the ADEA, the ADA, the Bankruptcy Code, and the various state and local laws addressing employment discrimination and harassment); Fair Labor Standards Act wage and hour collective and class actions; restructurings and layoffs (including WARN); wrongful discharge; breach of contract and tort matters; the Family and Medical Leave Act; manager and employee training; litigation avoidance; and counseling with regard to all of these areas. She also has significant experience in litigating restrictive covenants, including TROs and preliminary injunctions.

Ms. Morway graduated summa cum laude from Boston University Law School in 1995 and clerked for Honorable Douglas P. Woodlock, U.S. Judge, District of Massachusetts and Honorable Bailey Aldrich, Sr. Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She joined Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP as an associate in 1997 and was named a partner in 2005. She joined Curley, Hessinger & Johnsrud LLP in January 2010 where she is resident in the New York office.

Ms. Morway is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She is also admitted to the bars of the First and Second Circuits, the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York, the District of Connecticut, the District of New Jersey and the District of Massachusetts.
