David Hariton's practice deals primarily with federal income tax matters, with particular emphasis on financial instruments and transactions and cross-border investment. He is generally considered a leading expert in these matters and has published more than 50 articles and reports on the subject.
Mr. Hariton is on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section, and he served as Chairman of the Section in 2005. He represents the securities industry in Washington. Mr. Hariton is a member of the Tax Forum, the Tax Club and various other professional associations, and he lectures before members of the government and for the Practising Law Institute, the NYU Institute on Federal Income Taxation, the University of Chicago Law School and various other groups.
