David Epstein teaches bankruptcy and other courses at the University of Richmond Law School where he holds the George E. Allen chair.  Before joining the Richmond faculty, David was a partner at King & Spalding, of counsel to Haynes and Boone, dean of the Emory Law School and the University of Arkansas Law School, tenured faculty member at the University of North Carolina, University of Texas, University of Alabama, and Southern Methodist University, and served as a visiting professor at a number of law schools including Brigham Young, Harvard, New York University, and the University of Chicago. He is the author or co-author of numerous books on bankruptcy, contracts, corporations and the UCC.
