Danielle Pasqualone is Assistant General Counsel at Genentech, Inc., in South San Francisco, CA. Her practice includes patent prosecution, licensing and counseling in the fields of biologics and personalized medicine. Working closely with inventors, she supports research and development teams by protecting intellectual property rights and handling freedom to operate issues for therapeutics in oncology. Her other responsibilities include managing strategic partnerships and navigating complex regulatory matters.
Before joining Genentech, Danielle was an associate at the Palo Alto office of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, where her practice involved patent prosecution, client counseling, patent litigation, and interference in all areas of biotechnology and the pharmaceutical sciences. Danielle had previously gained experience as a patent agent and manager while working for Incyte Corporation, specializing in gene discovery, genomics, and bioinformatics.
Danielle attended law school at the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. Prior to pursuing a career in patent law, Danielle earned her Ph.D. at Cornell University and subsequently conducted post-doctoral research as an American Cancer Society Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of California at Berkeley. Her graduate and post-doctoral research encompassed diverse areas of biology, including genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry.
