Tina Romero has been an attorney with the Legal Aid Society since 2005. For four years she represented low-income tenants in eviction proceedings in multiple forums, including the Appellate Division, First Department. In 2009 she joined the Immigration Law Unit where she works exclusively with juvenile clients on affirmative and defensive immigration applications. The majority of her practice focuses on obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status for clients in foster-care and alternative family arrangements. Accordingly, she now practices before USCIS, the EOIR and in Family Court. Tina also supervises cases with pro bono attorneys from private law firms in their representation of juveniles seeking to obtain SIJS. Tina graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2001. She received her JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2005. She is admitted in Illinois and New York.
