Christopher M. Tobin

Christopher Tobin is a Managing Member of the Firm, specializes in high technology intellectual property issues and has experience involving a variety of electrical and computer-related technologies including networks, electrical circuitry, telecommunications, semiconductors, electronic commerce, complex financial models and related software. In addition to providing expertise relating to core patent analysis, procurement, and enforcement activities, Chris has substantial experience in intellectual property development and management. He has assisted various clients in the invention development process, from setting up intellectual property programs to strategic invention development. He also has experience in formal invention development sessions and has helped organizations to proactively develop intellectual property portfolios in key technology areas.

Prior to joining Rader, Fishman & Grauer, Chris was a patent examiner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, a senior patent attorney for a large multinational corporation, and an attorney with a prominent Silicon Valley law firm. Chris writes and speaks frequently on intellectual property matters, including regular participation as a panelist for Practicing Law Institute seminars ranging from basic patent courses for non-specialists to advanced patent prosecution topics.

Chris was born in Yonkers, New York and in his spare time enjoys a variety of sports and coaches Little League baseball and Developmental League basketball.
