Chet Joshi is a co-founder and Managing Director with Clarity Advisory Group in the firm's Chicago Office. He works with a core group of professionals to provide corporate and law firm clients services related to finance and accounting, forensic accounting and investigation services, including expert witness reports in connection with commercial litigation and disputes.
Mr. Joshi has over 25 years of experience in audit, tax, technology, records management, information technology compliance audits, tax shelter discovery, and forensic accounting and investigations.
His tax experience involves federal and state income taxes, sales & use taxes, and property-tax areas. He developed and designed technology applications for corporate tax departments, including the pioneering use of technology in the real estate industry.
Chet works with startups, particularly in the technology industry, to evaluate their business plans and forecasts. Additionally, he brings his experience leading complex commercial litigation support engagements, including damages calculations in the context of breach of contract, intellectual property infringement, and bankruptcy related reorganization plans in conducting review and analysis of such business plans. His experience also includes leading forensic investigations and financial statement reconstructions such as the Lehman Brothers Bankruptcy Examination Investigation.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a Certification in Financial Forensics (CFF), a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), and a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Chet is the recipient of a Master in Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois.
While attending the Booth School of Business, his team placed 2nd in the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship's New Venture Challenge in 2008.
