Brian Daly is the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of Kepos Capital LP, where he is responsible for legal, internal and regulatory compliance, as well as intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Kepos, Brian served as the general counsel of a number of asset management firms, including Raptor Capital Management LP, Carlyle-Blue Wave Partners Management, LP, and Millennium Management LLC. Prior to joining the investment management industry, Brian was in private practice, concentrating on securities law and private M&A transactions, in Los Angeles with Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and in New York and Los Angeles with O'Melveny & Myers, LLP.
In addition to his work on the Practicing Law Institute faculty, Brian has been a member of a variety of bar and industry committees, and has served two terms as Co-Chair of the Managed Funds Association's General Counsel Forum.
Brian holds a J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Journal of International Law and member of the Stanford Law Review; an M.A. from the University of Hawaii (where he held an East-West Center Fellowship), and a B.A., phi beta kappa, from the Catholic University of America.
