Brian Fields serves as counsel in the Litigation & Trial Practice Group in the New York office and is a member of the firm’s Government & Internal Investigations team.
During his tenure in the New York County District Attorney’s Office as senior investigative counsel, Fields focused on complex criminal litigation, including the prosecution of Jose Pimentel, the so-called “Lone Wolf” domestic terrorist, as well as the investigation and prosecution of individuals and corporate entities of the Cipriani family for tax evasion. Fields also conducted the Deutsche Bank building investigation, which led to substantial changes in the construction, deconstruction and abatement industry in New York. In the private sector, Fields’ experience includes representing hedge fund and broker-dealer clients in white-collar criminal defense and complex securities litigation, as well as defending firms and individuals in investigations.
Prior to his experience at the New York County District Attorney’s Office, Fields held positions at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP and the Queens County District Attorney’s Office.
Brian received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1997 and his B.A. in political science from Johns Hopkins University in 1994.
