Beverly Katz is Special Counsel to the Associate Chief Counsel (Passthroughs and Special Industries). In Passthroughs, Ms. Katz advises on partnership tax issues, as well as estate, gift and trust matters. She previously served as Special Counsel to the Chief Counsel where she worked on a variety of issues. Ms. Katz started her career with the Department of Justice, Tax Division, litigating tax cases around the country. She then joined the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (Income Tax and Accounting) and later moved to Passthroughs and Special Industries. She graduated cum laude from the University of Miami, School of Law, and magna cum laude from the University of Florida, School of Accounting.
