Andrew Berg is a member of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP's Tax Department. His practice is transactional, involving a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, debt restructurings, spin-offs, private equity and real estate joint ventures.
Mr. Berg is a former Chair of the New York State Bar Association Tax Section and has co-chaired Committees on Corporations, Reorganizations and Partnerships. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and a member of a number of other professional organizations.
Mr. Berg joined Debevoise in 1979 and became a partner in 1987. He received his Sc.B. from Brown University in 1974 magna cum laude with honors in Mathematics. He received his J.D. and LL.M. from New York University in 1978 and 1985 respectively, where he was a member of the Law Review.
