Andrea M. Despotes
advises Fortune 500 companies in structuring tax-free reorganizations and spin-off transactions, and counsels mid-sized companies and entrepreneurial concerns in all aspects of tax planning. She has signifi cant experience obtaining private letter rulings from the Internal Revenue Service and advising on the complex federal income tax rules governing consolidated groups, S corporations, real estate investment trusts (REITs) and partnerships, with a concentration on the federal income tax aspects of corporate divestitures and acquisitions, partnership transactions and tax-planning strategies.
