Amy Kolz is a senior reporter with The American Lawyer magazine, where she covers M&A, private equity, law firm management, and the business of law. Prior to joining the magazine in 2004, she worked as a reporter at Institutional Investor Newsletters and as an associate in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. She received her bachelors degree in economics from Duke University. Ms. Kolz is the author of "Capitalism's Next Frontier," a story that appeared in The American Lawyer's November 2010 issue and describes possible scenarios for non-lawyer ownership of U.S. law firms. That feature story won a gold award from the American Society of Business Publication Editors.
