Alicia Downey has extensive counseling experience helping clients develop antitrust-compliant pricing and marketing strategies, minimum advertised price policies, joint ventures, and distribution agreements in diverse industries such as consumer goods, medical devices, motor vehicles, and high technology.
Alicia has been featured as a leading antitrust lawyer in the Chambers USA Guide to America's Leading Lawyers for Business (2005-2012), PLC Cross-Border Competition and Leniency Handbook (2009-2012), U.S. News Media Group's The Best Lawyers (2009-2012), Massachusetts Super Lawyers (2004-2012) and Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition (2009). She has been active in the leadership of the Section of Antitrust Law of the American Bar Association as a member of the Section Council, past chair of the Pricing Conduct Committee, and current vice chair of the Distribution and Franchising Committee. She frequently speaks in teleseminars and conferences on various antitrust and distribution-related topics, including antitrust compliance training principles and techniques.
Alicia received her J.D. from Boston College Law School and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University. Prior to joining Bingham, she was a law clerk to Justice Herbert Wilkins of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
When she is not practicing law, Alicia is a Girl Scout volunteer, a board member of the Boston Dance Alliance, and an aspiring flamenco dancer.
