Marc P. Schuyler is an attorney specializing in patent, copyright and trademark law since 1989. A member of the US Patent Bar and the California State Bar, Marc began his career at the Los Angeles based firm of Pretty, Schroeder, Brueggeman and Clark, where his practice focused on all forms of intellectual property protection, especially patent litigation and prosecution. In 1995, Marc moved to Hewlett-Packard Company in Palo Alto, California, where he managed a group of approximately 11 attorneys. Marc's career has strongly emphasized all forms of intellectual property protection, including transactions, litigation, licensing, assertions and prosecution. In addition to licensing and assertion work for HP, Marc was responsible for managing about one quarter of HP's sizeable US patent prosecution activities. In 2007, Marc returned to private practice, in Saratoga, California, with an emphasis on patent development and patent licensing. Marc obtained his B.S. with honors from Caltech in 1986, and his JD from the UCLA School of Law in 1989.
